It's not over after Go Live

No matter how much you plan, going live with ERP is sometimes like a roller coaster ride. But once you go live, all the users tend to settle into fixed routines of using the ERP. But, it's not over when you go live. The approach should be to continually use ERP in a better way.

ERP should not end up as a routine document printing software. ERP is much more.



Increase Usage

Admins and management can check how much of OurSys is being used in terms of the transactions. To check this, go to MIS reports and under the 'System Health' section, click on 'Standard Daily Report'. This report shows you transaction wise monthly records which indicate which transactions or modules are not being used.

Department heads can be communicated about this to push them to use all the features.


Check out features in new version

Momenta releases a new version upgrade of OurSys ERP every 3 months. There are many features and functionalities that are added through these upgrades.

Check the release notes and communicate to users to make most out of these upgrades. Assign additional new links to appropriate users.

Momenta also arranges for an online Workshop free of charge to learn these features after every release.

Revisit Access Management

Access permissions are critical for accountability of the data. People come and go and also sometimes there are changes in the role. If proper process is not followed, only the bare basic links get configured.

It is recommended that all the permissions in terms of links, dashboards and authority must be reviewed periodically.

Retrain users

The knowledge of the area which is not frequently used can become rusty. Users may forget the features, shortcuts and the best ways to use OurSys.

It is therefore recommended that the users have refresher training sessions. This will increase the utility of the system.

Reduce wastages

Lot of data is being captured everyday in the ERP. One of the major usages of the data is to identify various wastages. Wastages of time, material, money, machine, tools etc.

Once you identify the wastages, it is easier to stop the losses. Low machine utilisation, non-moving inventory, low efficiency are some of the examples.

Data preparation for AI:

We have already seen the power of ChatGPT. The usage of such technologies will be common hereafter. But one major hurdle for this is quantum and quality of data.

You must ensure completeness and correctness of data not only from routine work point of view but also from the AI point of view. Else AI will give you only junk output.
