Tip
If you wish to try out a process in OurSys without disturbing the data, the best way is to log into the Practice mode of OurSys.
During signing in, you can choose to enter the Practice mode. You can try out whatever features you wish to experiment with here without disturbing the real data.
You can also use the practice mode for new users who are still learning OurSys.
Did you know?
It is a good practice to send respective Customer Ledgers to all the customers to confirm the ledgers.
OurSys has the feature to send Customer Ledger directly from OurSys itself by email.
This email comes with a covering letter asking the customer to confirm the ledger.

Any material issued and not consumed is visible here. This is a handy tool to keep a tab of expensive gauges, instruments, cutting tools etc.

What's new

Document-wise Email Content Configuration
Email wordings in OurSys earlier were not pre-configurable. Now you can draft your own content in the email templates.
Documents under Amendment are marked as DRAFT in the prints.
If a user prints an under-amendment document such as quotation or a purchase order, the print comes with the letters "Draft" indicating that the document is not yet fully amended and approved.
Document shortcuts added to notifications
Subject to user access rights, a user can directly go to the document from notification at a click of a button.
Date range configuration shortcut added to reports
Users can now set default date ranges for reports directly from their respective filter pages.

Using OurSys's Material Requirement Planning (MRP) can cut down delivery lead time drastically and at the same time will reduce the inventory cost.

Case Study
On Sales Order Attributes feature
Customer Introduction:
This company is a global supplier of custom made valves.
Problem / Goal:
This company required extra data fields in Sales Order beyond the fields available in OurSys. This required a major change in OurSys. Also those fields did not make any sense to other customers
of Oursys. But those fields were extremely important for this customer to capture.
The Solution:
We developed a new feature of adding custom fields to Sales Orders. These fields are called Attributes. Attributes can be named as per requirement and every customer can have their own fields.
The Result / Benefits:
This feature solved the issue of additional data requirement without creating confusion and clutter for other customers. Also, each customer is able to create their own fields if required.
