OurSys comes with a variety of inspection related features to suit various purposes. The choice of inspections depends upon the industry, product and your customer requirements.
An effective QC program depends on which specific standards the product or service must meet. Based on this the inspection stages, inspection plan, sample sizes etc. are decided.
Once the inspection plan is set, actual inspection data can be captured to ensure inspections were carried out and the data can be used for analysis.
Features Common to all types of inspections in OurSys ERP
- OurSys ERP comes with Dashboards for inspectors indicating 'Pending Load' for inspection. Inspectors can simply click on the dashboard to view the list of such waiting material.
- Inspectors can also open the drawing of the item being inspected from the list of pending inspections.
- All the inspections have facilities to upload supporting documents such as Dimensional reports, Test Certificates, images etc.
- All inspections also have approval features. Thus ensuring accountability.
- All inspection features have the provision to enter dimension wise readings.
- For attributes such as Finish there is a provision to mark whether it is 'Ok' or 'Not Ok'
- Inspection Report can be emailed to the supplier from OurSys
Types of Inspections
Following are the types of Inspections in OurSys ERP
Incoming Inspection for Purchased Material
Incoming Inspection is for all the purchased material. Only accepted material is made available for production. Based on this inspection, OurSys ERP rates the suppliers for their performance. Supplier bills are also passed for payment based on the results of this inspection type. OurSys also provides a special provision of Inspection Waiver for market standard items and for Quality pre-approved Supplier-Item combination.
First Article Inspection
OurSys has a 'First Article Inspection' report for mass produced items. It also provides an optional control that without First Article Inspection, production data cannot be captured.
Inprocess Inspection
This type of Inspection is designed for random inspections during production. This dimensional data can be exported to Excel to carry out further analysis such as Cp/Cpk.
Intra-process Inspection
This inspection is carried out after completion of a process. Only accepted material moves to the next stage.
Outsourcing Inspection
This is for the material received from job workers. The bill passing of such suppliers and their performance rating depends on this inspection.
Final Inspection
Finally, once all the operations are over, Final Inspection is carried out.
OurSys Advanced Features
Inspection Plan
There is a separate link for the Quality Inspection Plan informing the inspectors what to inspect and how. The required tolerances, sample sizes and the instrument to be used is mentioned in the plan.
Capturing Instrument Serial Number along with readings
With OurSys you can capture the serial number of the measuring instrument along with the readings. This feature is important when complying with advanced quality standards such as AS9100D and API.
Capturing Process & Environment Parameters in inspections
Sometimes it is important to capture factors such as temperature & humidity along with the readings. OurSys provides a master to define these factors and then capture the values in inspection.
Apart from this OurSys has instrument & gauge calibration reminders, Raw Material Test Certificate Chemical & Physical reading capturing and Sales TC generation.
