  Did you know?

Did you know that you can add Non-Production Machines like compressors to OurSys. In Machine master you can set Type as “Non-Production”.

Such machines will not appear in Production related transactions but you can use them in Maintenance and to list out all such machines.

Information in the report & how to use it:

  • This report helps to identify job orders which have been open for an unreasonably long time. Either the data entry is not happening or the WIP is piling up
  • Incorrect open Job Order data affects the MRP run and thus taking away one of the biggest benefits of using the ERP system
  • And WIP pile up can cause cash flow issues and affect profitability of the company
  • There is provision to change the planned end dates from this screen itself
  • Users can also short close the Job Orders quickly from here in order to cleanup junk data

  What's new

  • Job Order lock for reopening and closing Job orders
    We have introduced a setting to freeze the job orders so as to prevent changes in costing due to reopening a closed job order and re-closing it.
  • Job Order Closure Reason
    We have now introduced the “Reason” field while short closing a Job Order, thereby giving clarity about why the job order was short-closed.
  • Job Order History Card has been enhanced
    We have made collapsible sections thereby making the history card compact and clutter free without sacrificing the data.
  • HTS code option introduced in Export Invoice creation
    OurSys has now introduced the option to specify the HTS code invoice wise thereby allowing it to be changed based on the country being exported to.

Deviation in Sales Order

Customer Introduction:

This customer supplies pneumatics Presses and pumps.

Problem / Goal:

Sometimes there is a difference in what we quote and what order we receive from customers. These differences could be in rates, quantities, delivery terms etc. It is required to send a Letter of Deviation for clearance.

The Solution:

We provided a facility in the Sales Order transaction under the short-cut link to add Deviations and print the letter from the system itself.

The Result / Benefits:

It is now easy to make deviation letters and maintain the record in the system itself
