On Using OurSys Employee Desk Feature

OurSys comes with a unique Employee Desk feature where all your employees can log in and get basic HR related information from the system. Here is some more information in the FAQ format:

Will this utilise the user licences?

No. You can give access to any number of employees without using up your user licences.

How will this work because if we add users, the licences will get used up?

When you add any user, in the Employee User Type field select "Employee Desk" instead of "Normal User"

What features are available under Employee Desk?

Employees will get

• Leave Application where they also see their balance leaves and later whether the leave is approved
• Employee Salary Report where they see their salary history and can print the salary slip from their itself
• Attendance marking In & Out (In case your company allows employees to mark their attendance)
• Dashboard showing Available Leaves
• Internal Chats

Will the employees see only their data?

Absolutely.

What are the benefits of using Employee Desk?

It reduces the load on HR and gives instant data to the employees without being dependent on HR

What if we are not using OurSys HR module?

In that case they can still use it for internal chats instead of WhatsApp communication

Our workers do not have access to computers, can their supervisor access on their behalf?

From the supervisors user id worker salary and leave data will not be accessible. However, if the workers share their passwords, the supervisor will be able to access it

Can the Employee use this from their mobile phones?

Yes. Any user having access to OurSys can use OurSys on mobile

Can the Employee access the data from outside the organisation?

This depends on the security policy set by your company. In case IP lock is enabled, it will not be available. Similarly in case there is not public access to the software, it cannot be accessed.

But in any case the employee sees only his/her data.
